Federal Court Approves Privacy Settlement in Reedy v. Everlywell

Overview
Judge Andrea R. Wood granted final approval to a $5 million class action settlement in Reedy v. Everlywell, addressing unauthorized disclosure of consumer data.
ALG is pleased to announce that, on April 30, 2025, Judge Andrea R. Wood of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted final approval of a class action settlement in Reedy v. Everlywell, Inc., No. 1:24-cv-02713.
Plaintiffs, represented by ALG & Mason Barney and David DiSabato of Siri & Glimstad LLP, alleged that Everlywell and Natalist improperly used tracking technologies on their websites, disclosing customers’ sensitive personal data to third parties without consent.
Under the settlement, a combined fund totaling $5 million has been established to provide monetary compensation to affected individuals, cover administrative costs and attorneys’ fees as well as service awards to class representatives.
In granting Plaintiffs’ motion for final approval, Judge Wood concluded that the settlement was fair, adequate and reasonable, acknowledging the risks, costs and delays associated with continued litigation. ALG is proud of its role in achieving this meaningful resolution and remains committed to vigorously advocating for privacy rights and data security.
