Meet Our Founder, David Almeida

David Almeida is the Founder and Managing Partner of Almeida Law Group and the architect of the firm’s consumer-first, impact-driven approach to class action litigation. For much of his career, David served on the defense side, representing hospital systems, medical providers, and major consumer-facing companies in complex privacy and consumer class actions. That experience now informs his work advocating for individuals and classes of consumers, giving him a deep, strategic understanding of how large institutions assess risk, defend claims, and respond to litigation pressure.

Before founding Almeida Law Group, David was a partner at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan and Aronoff, where he founded and chaired the firm’s Class Action Practice Group and led multiple national practice teams focused on consumer-facing industries. Over the course of his career, David has been involved in more than 450 class action matters nationwide, spanning data privacy, consumer fraud, digital marketing practices, biometric privacy, and emerging technology issues. His work reflects the firm’s broader mission to use class action litigation as a tool for accountability, structural reform, and meaningful consumer protection.
