We are pleased to report that, on January 27, 2025, Judge Krissa M. Lanham of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona denied LifeStance Health Group, Inc.’s motion to dismiss on all but one of Plaintiffs’ claims. In the putative class action lawsuit, captioned Montana Strong, et al. v. LifeStance Health Group Inc., No. CV-23-00682, Plaintiffs allege that LifeStance, a mental healthcare company, deployed tracking technologies on its website to intercept and to disclose users’ private health information to third parties such as Meta and Google. Judge Lanham ruled that Plaintiffs stated viable claims under several privacy and consumer protection laws, including claims for violations of the federal Wiretap Act as well as the California Information Privacy Act. We are pleased with the ruling and look forward to moving forward with this important case. Almeida Law Group remains committed to protecting privacy rights and advocating for individuals and families.
